Ethics in Film Series

BIG ARTS will screen the film “In the Fade” (2017) at 12:30 p.m. at the Island Cinema, at 535 Tarpon Bay Road, Sanibel. Moderated by Ronald Michael Green, there will be a discussion following the screening about an ethical question posed by the film. Green is professor emeritus of religion and the eunice and Julian Cohen Professor Emeritus for the ethics and human values at Dartmouth College. All-Level Yoga

Making the Land Work

A walking tour of the Bailey Homestead Preserve from 10 to 11 a.m. that blends the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation’s work on the historic property, history of the land and stories about the Bailey family, which farmed it for three generations. Program includes a look at the demonstration gardens at the Native Landscapes & Garden Center, windmill, pavilion, Devitt Pond overlook and entrance to the Bailey family home. Suggested donation of $5; walking shoes recommended. Meet at the Conservation Gateway Kiosk at the head of Shipley Trail, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Come play on the interactive floor as the MagixBox projects from the ceiling to the floor. Squish mosquitoes, splat eggs or make a trail of stars in some of the ever-changing activities. 38th Taste of the Islands

The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife will hold its 38th Taste of the Islands from 12:30 to 5 at the Sanibel Community Park, at 2231 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. F.I.S.H. Open House

Friendly Faces Luncheon

In partnership with George & Wendy’s Seafood Grille, F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva will host its monthly Friendly Faces Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at the restaurant, at 2499 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
