F.I.S.H. seeks donors for Adopt-A-Family Program
F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva’s Adopt-a-Family program helps make the holidays merrier for island residents and workers. Through the program, donors may “adopt” an individual or family and provide gifts for the holidays.
Many F.I.S.H. clients live on very low fixed incomes, are underemployed and/or have recently lost their income due to illness, medical emergencies or other circumstances.
Individuals and businesses can become an Adopt-A-Family donor by contacting Maria Espinoza at 239-472-4775. Afterward, the process is as follows:
– F.I.S.H. will provide a wish list from Adopt-A-Family clients.
– Donors shop for gifts; all items must be new purchases.
– Donors wrap and label gifts; label each gift individually with the participant’s gender and age, which will be provided on the wish lists.
– All wrapped and labeled gifts must be dropped off to the F.I.S.H. Walk-In Center by Dec. 11.

The Walk-In Center is at 2430 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
