Paddling Tip of the Week

By Staff | Oct 29, 2019

If you are about to fall off of a standup paddleboard, hang on to your paddle when you fall. But if it accidentally slips out of your grip or you decide to toss it intentionally, no worries – most paddles are designed to float. Retrieve your board first, get back on, then use your hands to propel yourself as you retrieve the paddle. The weekly paddling tip is provided by the Ocean Tribe Paddling Club, which is affiliated with the Sanibel Sea School. For more information, visit oceantribepaddlers.org.
