Paddling Tip of the Week

By Staff | Oct 22, 2019

Paddlers should wear clothing that protects sunburn-susceptible areas such as the back, scalp, neck and ears. Sun damage can lead to premature aging and skin cancer. Choose clothing with a UPF – Ultraviolet Protection Factor – rating of 50 or more, or natural fibers in dark colors with a tight weave. Don’t forget your hat! The weekly paddling tip is provided by the Ocean Tribe Paddling Club, which is affiliated with the Sanibel Sea School. For more information, visit oceantribepaddlers.org.
