Sanibel Sea School’s 2019 Winter Camp programs will open on Oct. 19 at 10 a.m.

The pair of week-long camps is planned to coincide with winter break, and the schedule will offer a combination of Sanibel Sea School holiday traditions, marine biology, ocean art and outdoor activities.

During Wishing You a White Pelican Christmas Week, participants will celebrate one of Sanibel’s favorite winter residents. Learn about migratory birds and spend time exploring the chilly Gulf of Mexico. Happy Nudibranch Year! Week will be about tiny, colorful sea slugs and their way of life.

Welcome the new year with the annual Give Your Worries to the Sea ceremony. There will be hot chocolate, ocean caroling, and surf paddling races to look forward to, as well.

Camps are open to ages 6-13, with a Counselor In Training program for ages 13-18 to practice their leadership skills. Registration can be accessed online at sanibelseaschool.org/sanibel-camps.
