Sanibel fire launches new website

By Staff | Oct 4, 2019

The Sanibel Fire and Rescue District recently launched its new and improved website.

The website now complies with all state mandates as described in Chapter 189 and includes meeting dates, agendas, minutes and other documents.

The site also is designed to comply with the Americans with Disability Act Title II. Pages are now formatted to allow those with disabilities to access information easily with special software programs designed to assist with most disabilities. Some of the improvements include text included with all photos to describe the photo and all documents are now in a PDF format for ease of reading.

Staff worked with Streamline, part of Digital Deployment in California, to develop and maintain the website. Streamline specializes in government websites and focuses on statute compliance, as well as ADA compliance. It also provided a platform to allow staff an easy yet robust site that can be easily maintained by members of district.
