The J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Monofilament Busters team is braving the summer heat to keep the refuge free of deadly monofilament line and other fishing equipment that harm and kill wildlife. Recently, team members Doris Hardy and Carol Strange took along Youth Conservation Corps student Logan Hayford and “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge intern April Boehnen on their kayaking mission.
