Alphabet cone, lace murex found on Sanibel
Isabella Giessman, 15, of St. Louis, Missouri, found an alphabet cone and lace murex on July 3 while shelling at the beach at the Sanibel Moorings on Sanibel. Her parents reported that she has been vacationing on Sanibel every summer since she was born. Her brother, Jackson, found an alphabet cone about six years ago and got his picture in the paper. Isabella has been an avid sheller for about eight years and knew the alphabet cone is one of the big finds on Sanibel and was excited to share the news. Isabella is still searching for that elusive junonia and will be back next year to continue the search.
