Organized by the Sanibel Community Association, a monthly Community Social will take place on June 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
The theme for the holiday weekend dinner is “Rib Night.”
Resident Chef Jarred Harris prepares the meal, so attendees can simply show up and enjoy.
The menu will feature: homemade pork rinds, sweetcorn salad and Brunswick stew for starters; baby back ribs, St. Louis-style ribs, Southern-style spare ribs and a fourth surprise option for the entrees; and black-eyed peas and rice, collard greens and corn bread, and macaroni and cheese for the side dishes.
For a $5 donation, desserts are an ice cream sundae bar, chocolate brownies and root beer floats.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $18 at the door.
Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
