Island ABWA installs officers, honors award winner
The Sanibel Captiva American Business Women’s Association installed its 2019-2020 officers and honored 5 Year Service Award winner Kira Dworkin at its May meeting.
“Kira epitomizes the chapter’s mission to inspire all business women to learn, grow, and make a lifetime of new connections,” chapter President Gloria Garrett said. “Her service to the organization and her company’s generous support of ABWA and other island organizations, including The Sanibel School Seahorse Festival, sets an example for us all.”
“We are excited by the leadership and creativity of the 2019-2020 ABWA officers’ slate,” said Nominating Chair Julie DeBord of Kennedy Construction. “We can expect a dynamic year ahead.”
The new executive board will include: Kelley Laird, of New American Funding Mortgage, as past president; Gloria Garrett, of HMG, as president; Taylor Osborne, of Iris Print & Designs, as vice president; Angela Larson Roehl, of Rosier Insurance, as secretary; and Gaby Bell, of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, as treasurer.
