F.I.S.H. hosts annual non-profit forum
On May 23, F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva hosted the 2019 annual gathering of island non-profit organizations at The Community House on Sanibel with over 15 organizations represented.
The event was open to leadership from Sanibel and Captiva based non-profit organizations in order to discuss the needs of the islands and how the non-profit community can work together to address them.
Given the strong support the organizations share from community members, volunteers and donors, F.I.S.H. wanted to continue in that spirit to strengthen non-profit collaborative efforts.
The moderator was Lisa Heidrick, who has experience in strategic planning and development.
In previous years, organizations such as the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge, Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum and Sanibel Community Association have hosted the gathering.
The group looks forward to additional meetings and ongoing conversation about its shared goal to improve the lives of Sanibel and Captiva residents and visitors.
