PAWS Pets of the Week
Family up for adoption
PAWS has a mature mother kitten, 7-9 months old, and her four kittens, about 8 weeks old, available for adoption. The kittens were vetted the week of May 13 and got their first shot/flea treatment. The plan was to have the mother cat vetted/shot and spayed that week also. Adopting two kittens is suggested so they have a companion when you are not home. Those interested in adopting can contact Pam at PAWS at 239-472-4823.
Periwinkle Park kitty
PAWS has a mature kitten, 6-12 months old, at the Coral Veterinary Clinic in Fort Myers. She was captured using a humane trap at Periwinkle Park. Examined on May 10, she weighed 6.5 pounds and has no microchip. The kitten was tested for FIV/FeLV – two infectious diseases – and tested negative. She was given injections for rabies and FVRCP. The kitten appears to be in good health, just very frightened. She will be spayed today, May 22. If you recognize the kitten or are interested in adopting her, contact Pam at PAWS at 239-472-4823.
PAWS is assisting a Sanibel resident in trying to find a good home for a 5-6 years of age, black, medium hair, spayed female cat. Puff has a personality to match her looks; she is very sweet tempered. Please consider adopting her as her owner is moving in with family for a while and they are allergic to cats and have asthma. Puff needs to be placed quickly or she will end up at the Gulf Coast Humane Society. Those interested in adopting Puff can contact Pam at PAWS at 239-472-4823.
