Let’s go

By Staff | May 21, 2019

The Sanibel Public Library will host its annual Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party on May 25 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Children’s Area at the library, at 770 Dunlop Road, Sanibel.

Open to youth ages 18 and under, this year’s theme is “A Universe of Stories.”

The party will feature raffles, fun and snacks, along with on-site program registration.

By signing up, participants will receive a special gift – quantities are limited.

Sponsored by the Sanibel Public Library Foundation and Joan Hunt Cory Fund, the program has resulted in the donation of over 8,000 books to the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida since 2012. Via the program, participants earn books for themselves and for youth at the hospital.

The Summer Reading program will run from May 26 to Aug. 18.

There is no cost to participate in the program and no registration required to attend the party.
