City ‘Bulk Item Drop Off Event’ this Saturday

By Staff | May 15, 2019

The city is partnering with Waste Pro to offer Cape Coral residents a free “Bulk Item Drop Off Event” Saturday, May 18. Collec-tion hours will be from 7-11 a.m. Residents can bring unwanted items for disposal to 1020 Cultural Park Blvd. (across from City Hall).

While Waste Pro picks up bulk items curbside at no charge, this is another op-portunity for residents to dispose of these items.

Acceptable items for drop off include construction debris (less than 2 yards), appliances, furniture, electronics and clothing.

Proof of residency is required to drop off items. Proof of residency may include photo identification with a Cape Coral address or photo identification and a utility bill with an active city utility account. This is a residential program and commercial building materials will not be accepted.

Household chemical waste (fuel, paint, solvents, propane tanks) will not be accepted and should be taken to the Lee County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility located at 6441 Topaz Court, Fort Myers.
