Paddling Tip of the Week

By Staff | May 7, 2019

The sun’s harmful rays are at their strongest in the middle of the day, so it is a good idea to avoid or minimize your time on the water between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. If you must paddle during this four-hour window, be sure to apply SPF 30 or higher sunscreen and cover up with protective clothing, sunglasses, and a hat. The weekly paddling tip is provided by the Ocean Tribe Paddlers, which is affiliated with the Sanibel Sea School. For more information, visit oceantribepaddlers.org.
