Cape Coral City Manager John Szerlag has promoted Kimberly Bruns to the position of City Clerk. Bruns has served as the “Interim” City Clerk since November 2018.

“Based on her performance as interim city clerk, I am confident Kimberly will succeed in her new position,” said Szerlag.

Bruns began her career with the city in 2009. She worked in customer billing services and as a research specialist in the City Clerk’s Office before being promoted to the assistant city clerk position. In 2018, Bruns earned the Certified Municipal Clerk Designation, which is awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Inc.

Bruns’ starting salary will be about $115,000.
