The Sanibel School, at 3840 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel, presents the following:

Best of the Best in Lee County

The following students have been chosen to have their artwork displayed through April 13 at the Alliance of The Arts, at 10091 McGregor Blvd., Fort Myers:

– Kindergarten: Dylan Teets and Ethan Doss

– First grade: Mason Fase, Taylor Peach and Valentina Bell

– Second grade: Regan Gould, Cameron Lee and Jack Rando

– Third grade: Kellan Hall and Brooks Selby

– Fourth grade: Raleigh Stevens and Gia Lackenby

– Fifth grade: Molly Dunn, Noah Pruss and Anna Anderson-Kilgore

– Sixth grade: Samantha Pascal

– Seventh grade: Ava Campanella

– Eighth grade: Hudson Stirner

An art teacher from each school in the School District of Lee County was asked to choose the best artwork from this year’s students.

An opening reception for the exhibit was held on April 3.

Dodgeball Tournament taking sign ups

A Dodgeball Tournament will take place on April 12 at 2:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Sanibel Recreation Center, at 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road, Sanibel.

There will be three divisions: grades 3-5, grades 6-8, and community; the community division is open to parents and alumni of The Sanibel School who would like to participate.

The winning teams from the student divisions will receive a pizza party at lunch one day during the week of April 15; the winning team from the community division will receive free admission to a performance of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” at the school, which will run May 16-17.

Interested players should form teams of 5-6 players and submit a Team Registration Form, which are available in the front office. Each player needs to submit a liability form and a $8 registration fee.

All materials must be submitted no later than April 11.

Additionally, all dodgeball teams should come up with a uniform to wear for the tournament, like special matching T-shirts, socks and shoes. Keep in mind that the uniforms must be school appropriate or the team will be disqualified from the competition.

The community it welcome to come out and support the players.

Concessions will be available for purchase.
