SUP online survey open to comments until April 30

By Staff | Apr 9, 2019

The city of Sanibel reported that citizen input is an important component of its decision making.

Historically, citizens have participated at significant rates when it conducts surveys. As of April 4, 1,282 people had submitted comments as it updates the city’s Shared Use Path Master Plan.

All Sanibel citizens, including motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians, are welcome and encouraged to participate in the SUP survey. It can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/SanibelPathSurvey.

The current version of the Shared Use Path Master Plan was adopted in 2009 and has guided the implementation of updates to the system for the past decade. In collaboration with the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Organization, the city is updating the master plan. The update will recognize improvements completed over the past decade and guide the long-term vision for the SUP system.
