SWAT Team seniors sign with college swim teams

Two senior class members of S.W.A.T. – the Sanibel Water Attack Team – have committed to continuing their swimming careers in college pools.

Isabella “Izzy” DeCosta, 17, has signed with Virginia Military Institute. She was a district finalist and regional qualifier her senior year. She holds the women’s SWAT team record in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:09.27.

Cameron Dolly, 17, has signed with Rollins College. A four-time Lee County Conference Swimming champion, he is also a four-time district, regional and state finalist. He finished 10th in the 100 freestyle at the state championships his senior year with a time of :47.4 – a SWAT men’s team record. He also holds all the men’s SWAT team records from 11 years old on up. He holds the 50, 100, 200 and 500 freestyle; 50, 100 and 200 backstroke; 50, 100 and 200 butterfly; 100, 200 and 400 individual medley; and 200 breast stroke records for the team.
