On March 13, Sanibel Community Church’s H2O Youth Ministries participated in small group night, which involved each youth leader planning, implementing and enjoying an evening out with their teens.

The boys group, comprised of middle- and high-school students, headed off island to the Beach Bowl and Pelican’s Arcade on Fort Myers Beach. They spent the evening eating pizza and bowling at the retro bowling alley. The top scorers for the night were Mason Macalka and Jesse Chase.

The sixth-grade girls took part in some crafting and chatting. They and their leader, Stephanie Schafer, decorated their meeting room with painted hand prints that included their favorite Bible verses.

Painting, pizza and peaceful beach time was the plan for the seventh- and eighth-grade girls. Leader Jenna Senkeleski and 15 students headed to the Donax beach access. Island Pizza delivered pizza and soda to the beach, and the teens painted various scenes on their canvasses inspired by the location.

The high school girls enjoyed the 2nd Annual Sanibel Crawl, planned by leaders Carol McRae, Ann Ross and Senkeleski. The first stop was at The Jac for appetizers, followed by Bailey’s Coffee Bar for a specialty coffee drink. They were then given the VIP treatment at George and Wendy’s Seafood Grille, where they enjoyed decadent desserts like cheesecake, chocolate madness and crme brulee.
