Sanibel Sea School to offer field trip to recycling center

By Staff | Mar 20, 2019

The Sanibel Sea School will offer a field trip to the Lee County Recycling Center on April 5 as part of the organization’s adult class program.

“Recycling plays an important role in limiting the amount of plastic that accumulates on our planet,” Marine Science Educator Shannon Stainken said. “Understanding your local recycling procedures helps ensure best practices at home and can have a positive impact on the ocean over the long haul. We hope you’ll join us for this tour of our local facility.”

The cost is $10 per person, and transportation will be provided.

Participants will depart from the Sanibel Sea School at 9 a.m. and return at about 3 p.m.

The group will stop at a restaurant for lunch on the way home, but the cost of lunch is not included.
