A Celebration of Life Service for John Robey Clark will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019

John Robey Clark, age 81, passed away on November 16, 2018. Beloved husband of Judith (Craig) Clark for 58 years, he leaves loving sons, Todd R. (Beth) and Scott R. (Laurie). He was the cherished grandfather of Bryce (Alana), Madison, Mitchell, Cheyenne and Ethan Clark.

A resident of Sanibel, FL for 11 years John served in many capacities in the life of Sanibel Congregational United Church of Christ (SCUCC). He was a member of Rotary International and volunteered in the Sanibel Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF) Turtle Program. He supported the Sanibel Public Library as a volunteer for many years.

Positions held in his 40 yrs. career with CSX Corp. (C&ORR, Chessie Systs.) included Construction Supt. managing the building of Queensgate Yard, Cinti., a computer-controlled, state of the art (1981) classification yard. His career culminated as Ass’t. Chief Engineer for CSX, Jacksonville, FL. He was a member of American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Assoc. John was a life-long member of Rathkamp Matchcover Society and Pres., South Eastern Matchcover Club. His lifes passion was travelling, both in the US and abroad.
