Love You to the Moon and Back
On Feb. 13, Sanibel Community Church’s LOGOS children celebrated Valentine’s Day with a Love You to the Moon and Back theme. The youth created Valentines for their mothers and enjoyed a family dinner with pasta and marinara sauce and a sugar cookie. Their recreation time included throwing moon rocks into craters – like corn hole. The night’s challenge was spoon hanging. The winner was fifth-grader Anna Anderson-Kilgore. The students had to lift an arm or balance on one leg, while keeping a spoon hanging on their nose. The night ended with a conga line. Open to pre-kindergarteners to fifth-graders, LOGOS meets on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the church, at 1740 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
