The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and Sanibel-Captiva Art League have partnered on a new art exhibit, “Water,” which opened to the public on Feb. 4 and runs through the month.

“Water” showcases fresh works of art from members of the league and SCCF. Featuring art in diverse media, the exhibit spotlights a subject which impacts the local community. See what the topic of water means to local artists as they depict various facets of its importance as a resource, as a vital habitat for flora and fauna, and as an amenity the islands strive to protect.

The exhibit is on display at the Bailey Homestead Preserve, at 1300 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. The viewing hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A portion of all art sales will be donated to SCCF.
