Solo nature exhibit on display at ‘Ding’ Darling

Sanibel resident Eric Orkin brings his lifelong passion for nature photography to the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge’s Visitor & Education Center through December. His solo exhibit features two walls of images. One wall is about wildlife photos as nature presented them – the result of timing, lighting and equipment, plus good luck. The second relies less on “good luck,” utilizing digital processing to combine and modify elements of nature, reimagining them into new art. Nearly all of the photos were taken at the refuge or elsewhere on Sanibel. The center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is at l Wildlife Refuge is at 1 Wildlife Drive, Sanibel.
