Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga from 10 to 11:15 a.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Turtle Tracks

Learn about the life cycles and habits of the sea turtles and shorebirds that nest on Sanibel beaches, SCCF’s monitoring activities and what it is doing to protect them from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Nature Center, at 3333 Sanibel Captiva Road, Sanibel. Coffee, Tea and Trivia

Caloosahatchee Oxbow, Riverlore Cruise

Join SCCF on an Oxbow and Riverlore Cruise from 1 to 3:30 p.m. to experience the historic Caloosahatchee. The guided trip provides an opportunity to gain a perspective on the river, its history, folklore, issues and solutions, as you explore the historic upriver Caloosahatchee. Follow the river back to a time when a waterfall served as the headwaters of the Caloosahatchee and settlers braved living amongst the wilderness. Tours are guided by Rae Ann Wessel, a river researcher, historian and SCCF Natural Resource Policy Director. Registration is required. For information, call 239-472-2329.

Shell Point Farmers Market

Shell Point Retirement Community will host a Farmers Market from 8:30 a.m. to noon in the Center Court at The Woodlands, at 15101 Shell Point Blvd., Fort Myers. Take a leisurely stroll while shopping for locally-grown produce, freshly-caught seafood, homemade baked goods, Brisket Brothers pulled pork, all natural soaps and lotions, and more. Cash only. Free Beach Walk

The Sanibel Sea School will host a free Beach Walk at 8:45 a.m. for all ages. Marine biologist and Executive Director Dr. Bruce Neill will talk a bit about the island ecosystem and any interesting creatures encountered along the way, along with answer any participant questions. Sanibel Island Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sanibel City Hall, at 800 Dunlop Road. Organized by Local Roots, it will feature a mix of vendors and products, plus crafters. Find organic produce, exotic fruits, cheeses, breads and bagels, fresh eggs, guacamole and salsa, jams, local honey, pickles and seafood, as well as handmade soaps, essential oils, flowers and plants.
