Keeping the Fun in Fundraising for F.I.S.H. returns

By Staff | Nov 9, 2018

The Keeping the Fun in Fundraising for F.I.S.H. concerts featuring island performer F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva Board Member Chris Coile will resume for the new season.

The monthly fundraisers aim to raise awareness and donations for the organization.

Coile donates CDs at each event to encourage voluntary donations.

“I’m happy to bring awareness about F.I.S.H., a ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ organization and the great things they do right here on Sanibel and Captiva,” he said. “It’s been a particularly tough summer for them with the red tide crisis, and I’m really looking forward to getting a whole bunch of folks out to have a good time while listening to great music and supporting F.I.S.H.”

The first concert will be on Nov. 19 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at George & Wendy’s Seafood Grille.

He performs classic rock ‘n’ roll, country, island and big band standards. Other island talent, including Cindy Cola, Dee Kelly, Sandy Greco, and others, will join him periodically throughout the season.

“We’ve got some real talent here on our small island,” Coile said.

The concerts will be held on the third Monday of every month through March.

Reservations are recommended and can be made at 239-395-1263.

“Last year, we had a great time performing and almost all of the shows were totally reserved,” he said.

The future dates are Dec. 17, Jan. 21, Feb. 18 and March 18.
