Fish Bingo Night planned at Sanibel Sea School
As part of the Sanibel Sea School’s fall series of adult programs, the organization will host a Fish Bingo Night on Nov. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 455 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel.
Snacks, drinks and prizes will be offered.
“Whether you know your fish identification or not, this is a great opportunity to come out and get to know your neighbors,” Director of Education Shannon Stainken said. “And you never know, you might even learn a thing or two about our local species.”
The cost is $20 per person; walk-ins are welcome. Scholarships are available upon request.
The event is part of a series of classes on the theme of Fisheries Management. The remaining classes scheduled for the series are as follows:
– Nov. 28: Fly fishing films and discussion, “Fly Fishing in the Anthropocene” and select shorts, from 7 to 9 p.m.
– Nov. 30: Guest lecture with Dr. Ross Boucek, of Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, from 4 to 6 p.m.
– Dec. 14: Fly tying workshop with local notaries from 7 to 9 p.m.
– Dec. 7: Ocean ornament making at the annual Luminary Festival (free)
The Sanibel Sea School is also offering a series of educational boat trips for adults in November and December. For more information, visit online at sanibelseaschool.org/sanibel-adult-programs.
