Friends of Wildlife sets events

* Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife, will hold Holiday Gift Sales on Saturday, Nov. 3, and Saturday, Nov. 10. The sales coincide with the Nature of Cape Coral Bus Tours. Both events will begin at 8 a.m. and end at noon.

At the sale, choose from a selection of nature-themed gifts.

Join the bus tour where possible sightings may include burrowing owls, Florida scrub jays, manatees, bald eagles, osprey, unique birds and butterflies. Registration is required. Call: 239-549-4606 for details

* The Friends of Wildlife will present a program “Global Warming and its Effects on Wildlife” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Environmentalist and Sanibel resident Ariel Hoover will speak. Hoover recently retired as an instructor at Tufts University. She was trained by Al Gore and friends as a Climate Reality spokesperson along with 1,500 people from around the world.

Both events will take place at Rotary Park Environmental Center, 5505 Rose Garden Road.
