Annual Taste of the Islands to spotlight over a dozen island eateries
The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife will host the 37th Taste of the Islands on Nov. 11 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Sanibel Community Park, showcasing the following island restaurants:
– Blue Giraffe
– Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille
– IL Cielo
– Sanibel Deli
– Sanibel Fish House
– Shima Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar
– Thistle Lodge
– The Bubble Room
– The Clam Shack
– The Jac Island Bar & Grille
– The Timbers Restaurant & Fish Market
“We have an amazing line-up of restaurants this year,” CROW Executive Director Linda Estep said. “This is a great opportunity for the community to come together to support each other after being hit hard with the effects of red tide this summer.”
The restaurants will offer a mouth-watering array of menu items for six CROW Bucks or less, while competing for honors in a variety of categories including Best Appetizer, Best Seafood and Taste of the Taste. Attendees will cast ballots to decide the winner of the coveted People’s Choice award.
This year’s family-friendly event also features live entertainment by the Private Stock Band. Inside The Community House, guests can meet CROW’s Animal Ambassadors and bid on silent auction items.
The returning presenting sponsor is Bank of the Islands/Edison National Bank.
Admission is $7 for adults and free for children under the age of 12.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the event.
