The community has an opportunity to support the fight against breast cancer and show their commitment to reducing plastic on Oct. 13 by swinging into Bailey’s General Store.
The Let’s Pink Out volunteers will be “Bagging for Tips” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The monies raised benefit uninsured individuals in need of mammograms and F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva in helping with cancer-related needs. Bagging for Tips will take place every Saturday during the month of October.
To volunteer to be a bagger, visit www.PinkOutSanibel.com.
In addition, Coastal Keepers will hold a BYOB event starting at noon. People can receive a free reusable, washable canvas bag, while supplies last. The aim of the BYOB events is to reduce the use of disposable plastic bags and educate the public about the harm they can have on the environment.
