Democratic Club to host annual potluck supper

The Democratic Club of the Islands will host its “Bring It Home” Potluck Supper on Oct. 25.

The annual event is held to renew old friendships and to welcome new ones who are interested in working to elect Democrats at local, state and national levels.

Free and open to the public, it will be held at 6 p.m. at The Community House on Sanibel.

Entre meats and beverages provided; attendees are asked to bring a dish to share.

BYOB for those who have a preferred drink.

Representatives from local, school board and county campaigns will be present, as well as Democratic representatives for Congress, United States senator and Florida governor campaigns, to discuss their positions. Any remaining questions on ballot issues will be covered.

In addition, Club President Chet Sadler and Vice President Garry Weiss will present the GOTV – Get Out the Vote – efforts and the final “Bring it Home” actions.

All members of the Democratic Club are urged to attend, as well as those who are interested in supporting progressive politics and electing Democrats in the mid-term election.

The 20l9 members dues are now payable to DCI at $30 for a single and $60 for a family.
