PAWS Pets of the Week
Matilda, or “Tilly” for short, is about 11 months old and was found in the area of East Lake Road and Casa Ybel Road on Sanibel on Aug. 3. Some kind people took her in for the night, then PAWS brought her to a vet the following morning for a check up. She was combo tested – negative – had FVRCP and rabies immunizations, and was treated for fleas. She did not have a microchip. If PAWS cannot find her family, she will be available for adoption in about two weeks. If Matilda is yours or you know her owners, contact Pam at PAWS at 239-472-4823. Those interested in adopting her can also contact Pam.
Capie is a 9-week-old male kitten, born on June 2. He was found by vacationers on July 9 on the side of the road near the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva and taken to PAWS. Very tiny at the time, he has been going to a vet regularly for checkups, immunizations and such. Capie is now up to 2 pounds 7 ounces. He has blue-grey fur, with interesting eyes and eyebrows. Capie loves to run and chase golf balls and climb on cat trees. He is looking for his forever home. Those interested in adopting Capie can contact Pam at 239-472-4823 to meet him.
