Junonia found on Captiva
Steve Sauls, of Ohio, found a junonia with the help of his family today at Turner Beach. He explained that it was his nephew, 12-year-old Dylan Maninga, who suggested going to that particular beach and his brother-in-law, Ben Maninga, who picked out the spot where they found the shell. Sauls added that his wife, Aimee, lent them her shark tooth sifter for the search. He called it a definite team effort. Sauls has been vacationing on the islands on and off for 20 years and it is his first junonia.
