The 28th Annual Sanibel-Captiva Independence Day Celebration T-shirts and tank tops are now available at the Bank of the Islands branch on Sanibel.

The parade committee selected the Clinic for the Rehabilitation for Wildlife as the grand marshal for this year’s event. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, CROW selected “Wild About America” as this year’s parade theme, which is illustrated on the shirts.

Available in small to extra extra large, islanders and visitors can pick up their T-shirts and tank tops during banking hours for just $10 each.

The Independence Day parade will be held on July 4 beginning at 9:30 a.m. It starts at Island Inn Road and continues down Periwinkle Way, ending at Casa Ybel Road. Periwinkle will be closed from Donax Street to Tarpon Bay Road from 9 a.m. until approximately noon.

Parade entry forms are available at Bank of the Islands.

Volunteers are needed to assist with tasks before, during and after the parade. For more information, call Mary Bondurant at 239-839-3633 or Trish Phillips at 239-246-2981.

Bank of the Islands is at 1699 Periwinkle Way.
