Fort Myers Miracle offering free tickets, fireworks show to all students on Report Card Night
The Fort Myers Miracle are joining Lee and Collier County students in celebrating the end of the 2017-18 school year with a kid-friendly extravaganza on June 8 at Hammond Stadium.
All students who show their report card either a printout or digital copy at the box office on Friday, June 8, will receive a free ticket to the Miracle game, compliments of Achieva Credit Union. In-game entertainment will be provided by the Russian Bar Trio, a group of high-flying acrobatic performers featured on America’s Got Talent, Oprah and Ellen. The School’s Out Celebration will be capped by a dazzling postgame fireworks show presented by Dairy Queen.
“Between Hurricane Irma, standardized testing and an increasingly tough curriculum, the 2017-18 school year was a difficult one for many Southwest Floridians,” said Chris Peters, president and general manager of the Fort Myers Miracle, in a prepared statement. “It seemed like the school year would never end, but it’s finally over! Now children, parents and teachers can start enjoying their summer vacation, so why not start the fun at a Miracle game?”
June 8 also is Nonprofit Night at Hammond Stadium, a monthly event in which local charities discuss volunteer and donor opportunities from information booths in the concourse at Hammond Stadium, 14100 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers.
Gates open at 6 p.m., and the first pitch is 7 p.m. against the Dunedin Blue Jays. For adults, the Miracle’s Pregame Happy Hour, presented by B103.9 and Wicked Dolphin, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
