Learning at a young age
The Community House on Sanibel recently hosted a Young Chef’s Cooking Class, where the home-schooled students traveled to Thailand to create dishes. Led by Resident Chef Jarred Harris, they made spring rolls, summer rolls, chicken satay, and mango ice cream with banana spring rolls and coconut caramel sauce. The youngest participant was 6 years old, with the rest went up to their teens. They helped each other and learned how to measure, fry, grill and combine ingredients into a tasty meal.
