The “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge recently bid farewell to philanthropic coordinator Carrie Alexander, who resigned as of May 17. Beginning as an intern three years ago, she held her current position for two years. Alexander is headed to Sydney, Australia, to pursue her love of conservation in a new habitat. Senior intern Sierra Hoisington took over the vacated position in a full-time capacity. She will assist with events, educational outreach, donor stewardship, the photography contest and fundraising efforts.
