Living With COPD

F.I.S.H. of Sanibel-Captiva will host “Living With COPD” from noon to 1 p.m. at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Led by Teresa Summe, coordinator for the Asthma Health Management Program, the discussion will identify the risk factors leading to COPD and cover the statistical prevalence of COPD across the nation. It will also review the necessary tools for a definitive diagnosis of COPD, as well as an understanding of COPD anatomy, physiology and symptoms. Bailey Homestead: Making the Land Work

A walking tour of the Bailey Homestead Preserve from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. blends SCCF’s mission-driven work on the historic property, the history of the land itself and some stories about the Bailey family. Yoga for Everyone

Community Shredding Day

A Community Shredding Day will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the north lot at The Community House, at 2173 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel – across the street from the facility. Get rid of tax receipts and more; no large paperclips or binder clips. Cost is $5 per box or bag. Enter via the driveway next to Dunlop Road and exit via the driveway nearest to the Sanibel Bean.

Island Jazz
