The Sanibel Fire and Rescue District held its annual open house on March 24 at Station 171 for residents and visitors to learn about fire safety and emergency services. Representatives from local agencies and organizations were on hand with literature and for demonstrations, while the children enjoyed sitting in the fire engines and emergency vehicles. A picnic-style lunch was available, compliments of the fire district.
