Junonia found on Sanibel
Lydia Gotschall, 11, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, found a junonia shell on March 15 on the Sanibel Lighthouse end of the island during low tide. Her mother, Gina, reported that they did not even realize Lydia had found a unique shell until the family was looking over a shell guide later on and recognized the junonia. She added that her daughter previously found one when she was younger. Lydia was shell hunting with her family, including her grandmother Barb Gotschall, when she located the newest one.
