A Cape Coral man has been charged with negligent vehicular homicide in connection with a Thanksgiving day crash that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old woman.

Kenneth Graves, 37, “was found to be at-fault for the traffic crash, and probable cause was established that found he had operated a vehicle in a reckless manner” in connection with the three-vehicle crash in which Kennya Yolibeth Gonzalez Ojeda was critically injured, the Cape Coral Police Department stated in a release issued Wednesday.

Ojeda died two days later at a local hospital following the Nov. 23 crash on Veterans Memorial Parkway at Country Club Boulevard.

With the help of the State Attorney’s Office, Graves was placed under arrest while he was visiting his probation officer by CCPD Detective Fordham and the U.S. Marshals Task Force, the CCPD release states.

Graves remained in the Lee County Jail early Wednesday afternoon.
