Assistant city clerk earns Certified Municipal Clerk designation
Kimberly Bruns, Assistant City Clerk, Cape Coral, has earned the designation of Certified Municipal Clerk awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, Inc.
IIMC grants the designation to municipal clerks who complete extensive education requirements; and who have a record of significant contributions to their local government and community. The IIMC Certified Clerk program prepares applicants to meet the challenges of the complex role of a municipal clerk.
“We are very proud of Kimberly’s commitment to the professional development of her career,” said City Clerk Rebecca van Deutekom in a prepared statement. “This certification will benefit both our office and the residents we serve.”
Bruns began her employment with the City in 2009 and worked in customer billing services and as a research specialist in the City Clerk’s Office before being promoted to the assistant city clerk position.
