Fifth Third bank on Del Prado robbed

A man armed with a handgun held up the Fifth Third Bank at 2724 Del Prado Boulevard S. shortly before noon morning.

There were no injuries.

Police responded to the 11:30 a.m. alarm call with Cape Coral Police Department patrol, K9, and detectives on scene, the CCPD said in a noon release.

The suspect is described as white male between 50-60 years old with a goatee. He was wearing an artifcial face covering that covered his entire head except for his facial area, a grey polo shirt, tan fishing hat and dark grey or blue jeans.

The man left the business and was last seen northbound on foot.

St. Andrews School has been placed on lockdown as a precaution only, the release states.
