Tower Gallery holds art show to benefit Zonta
To help raise money for the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva, Tower Gallery will hold its Tower Gives Back event Thursday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 9 p.m.
“We’re going to give a percent of whatever we bring in that night to Zonta,” said Marianne Ravenna, an artist at Tower Gallery. “We’ll also have an artist or two doing demonstrations that night.”
Nancy Dreher, president of the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva, said she plans to use the funds from the art show for next year’s grants which be used on-island and in Lee County.
“We have such a giving community in general and so many businesses have gotten to this point where they are taking a percentage and giving it back to all of us on the island. They support people with food and services that they don’t have. I think there’s a need in our community that people don’t realize is there,” Dreher said. ” At Zonta, we work to empower women and girls in our community and this is just another avenue that people that don’t know about Zonta can then learn a little bit more and also support Tower Gallery. I think these synergies are really important.”
Hirdie Girdie Gallery and Suncatchers’ Dream will also be open that night.
