Radio station looking for writers to read on-air

By Staff | Nov 28, 2017

WKDW 97.5 FM, North Port’s non-profit community radio station, is seeking writers of all levels to read for three to five minutes their work on its weekly “Writers on the Air” program each Sunday. A funny, family-friendly program, “Writers on the Air” requests upbeat material, not works about mean parents, bosses or co-workers. The public is invited!

The show tapes weekly on Sundays at 3 p.m. and is broadcast at 5 p.m. the following Sunday. Sign up is 2:30.

Meet at the Common Grounds Meeting Hall (12735 S. Tamiami Trail in North Port,) and hang out in the Common Grounds’s family-friendly, BYOB Listening Room, which offers snacks and comfortable seating. The hall is located next door to WKDW 97.5 FM and is south of Warm Mineral Springs on the same side of the road.
