Shelter update as of Saturday morning
Alico Arena on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University opened at 10 a.m. today as a public shelter for citizens evacuating from Hurricane Irma. The Alico Arena shelter is being opened by the State of Florida’s Division of Emergency Management to support citizens needing an evacuation location.
