The Center 4 Life is accepting donations all summer long for its annual Trash to Treasure sale in November.

The center is accepting gently used items like housewares, linens, pillow cushions, framed pictures, tools, designer purses, jewelry, vacuums, lamps, furniture and kitchenware. They are not accepting clothes, shoes, books, computers or TVs.

All donations are tax deductible.

Donations can be dropped off at the Center 4 Life, 2401 Library Way, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The last day to drop off items is Nov. 1.

“This is our major fundraiser,” said Carole Fallon, co-chair of the event. “There’s something for everyone.”

All of the proceeds will go towards the Center 4 Life. The funds from the sale will help pay for their programs. Last year, they were able to raise $13,000.

“What we don’t sell we give to other charities,” Fallon said.

Over the years, Fallon has found that some of their most sought-after items are jewelry, bed sheets, vacuums, kitchenware and collectibles.

Although the annual sale isn’t held until Nov. 4, shoppers are welcomed to get some pre-sale bargains. On Mondays, Wednes-days and Fridays, from 9 a.m. to noon, shoppers can stop by the Center 4 Life for a preview of what has already been donated. The center only accepts cash or checks.

“People love to get a bargain. It’s a wonderful form of recycling,” Fallon said.
