A burglar suspect who tried to climb into the window of a home and was confronted by the homeowner has been arrested, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

On May 1, an unknown male attempted to make entry to a home in the 100 block of Southeast 12th Street by climbing through a window, and was confronted by the homeowner. The CCPD reported that the would-be burglar fled, and police responded to the scene.

Latent fingerprints were recovered and matched to Lorenzo Valcourt, 18, who was located by Cape detectives, arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.

Valcourt, of 4021 S.E. 12th Court, Apt. 5, has been charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling.
