Election results at a glance

With all precincts counted in Lee County:

* Sheriff Mike Scott easily staved off a challenge by Stephanie Eller in the closed Republican primary for Lee County Sheriff. Scott received more than 85 percent of the vote.

* Commissioner Larry Kiker narrowly beat challenger Dick Anderson in the closed Republican primary for the Lee County Board of County Commissioners District 3 seat. Kiker had 50.78 percent of the vote.

* Commissioner Frank Mann easily held off a challenge from Ken Dobson in the closed Republican primary for the Lee County Board of County Commissioners District 5 seat. Mann took 54 percent of the vote.

* Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington will move to a runoff in November with challenger Tommy Doyle in the five-way non-partisan primary for Supervisor of Elections. Harrington received approximately 43 percent of the vote to Doyle’s 33 percent.

* Judge Archie B. Hayward Jr. held off a challenge by Leah Harwood in the non-partisan race for County Judge Group 4. Hayward received nearly 54 percent of the vote.

* Don Armstrong and Jane Kuckel will advance in the four candidate, non-partisan, primary for the at-large District 6 seat for the Lee County School Board. They received 26.45 and 42.83 percent of the vote respectively.

* Cathleen Morgan and Chris Quackenbush will advance in the five-candidate non-partisan primary for the at-large District 7 seat for the Lee County School Board. They received 32.68 percent and 27.16 percent of the vote respectively.

* State Sen. Lizbeth Benacquisto easily held off a challenge by Jason Maughan in the closed Republican primary for State Senate District 27. Benacquisto took nearly 69 percent of the vote.

* Francis Rooney won the three-way closed Republican District 19 Congressional primary that also included Dan Bongino and Chauncey Goss, taking more than half the vote. Rooney received 52.72 percent of the vote.
